18 November 2015 Bolshoi Theater opens its doors after years of reconstruction
The opening of the theater has long been awaited not only by the audience, but also by the performers of the theatre who had no opportunity to perform at their home stage for 3 years. While guests were looking for their seats and examining with interest the restored interior of the hall, we managed to get backstage and talk with the artists.

- Participating in a festive concert dedicated to the opening of the State academic Bolshoi theatre is one of the exciting moments in my life. I'm very excited, but I think that today all will pass perfectly well, - said the soloist of the ballet troupe of the Bolshoi theatre Madina Yusupova.

Finally, after the last third ring sounded, the curtain went up. The theatre has prepared a program that included excerpts from the best international and domestic works. Here you could enjoy the Stretta Manrico from the Opera "Il Trovatore" by Giuseppe Verdi, "Waltz of the flowers" from the ballet "Sleeping beauty" by Tchaikovsky, Uzbek folk song "Kashmirda" to the music of Mukhtor Ashrafi.

The audience literally traveled in time and space. They found themselves in Samarkand in the times of great Ulugbek, in medieval Germany, where a crafty Mephistopheles sings the verses on the eternal idol.

The artists of the theater in this evening showed the most favorites. It was impossible to choose the best, because all of the performances were so exciting.  Meanwhile one thing is clear, the Bolshoi theater itself performed the title role brilliantly. Today, all the applause are in honor of its performance.
