Day 1. Tashkent

Arrive to Tashkent International Airport. After passport and customs controls you will be met by your guide/driver. Tashkent - The Capital of Independent Uzbekistan, the cosmopolitan city in the heart of Central Asia, the crossroad of different cultures. Depart airport to hotel. Check in, rest. 

Day 2. Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva

After breakfast check out from the hotel for the flight HY 1051 Tashkent-Urgench at 07.00. Arrive Urgench and transfer to Khiva 30 km, an ancient capital of Khorezm, (Khwarazma -“The Land of the Sun”). Check in to hotel (due to availability) and start your tour by a walk into the splendid historical part of Khiva – Ichan-Kala fort (IVc b.c-XXc). Your tour includes: Muhammad Aminkhan Madrasah and Kalta Minar (XIXc), Kunya Ark, the Museum of Zindan and Muhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah(XIXc), take a walk to The Mausoleum of local Saint Pakhlavan Makhmud(XIV-XXcc), Shergazi-khan Madrasah(XVIIIc), beautiful Minaret and Madrasah of Islam Khodja(XXc), Juma Mosque(Xc), Allakuli khan Madrasah and Caravan saray(XIXc), Tash-Khauli Palace and Harem(XIXc). Enjoy your free time to take a walk through the old streets of Ichan-Kala and city walls.  

Day 3. Khiva - Bukhara (450km)

Breakfast and start the drive to Bukhara through the Kyzyl-Kum desert, the second largest desert in Central Asia after Kara-Kum. On the way stop to enjoy a panoramic view over The Amu-Darya River, the largest river in Central Asia. Arrive to Bukhara, check in to hotel.

Day 4. Bukhara

City tour in Bukhara, the old center of Tajik culture, where locals still speak Tajik language the dialect of Farsi. Explore one of the gems of Islamic architecture, the center of Mediaeval Islamic Education. Visit: The Ark Citadel (IVc b.c-XVIIc a.d), Bolo-Khauz Mosque (XVIIc), Samanid Mausoleum (IXc-Xc), Mausoleum of Chashmai-Ayub (XII-XVIcc), city walls (XVIc), Kalon Minaret(XIIc), Miri-Arab Madrasah(XVIc), Kalon Mosque(XVIc). Visit Madrasah Of Ulugbek (XVc), Madrasah of Abdul-Azizkhan(XVIIc), trade domes from (XVIcc), Magoki-Attor mosque(XIIc), Lyabi-Khauz complex consisting of Nadir-Divan Begi Madrasah(XVIIc) and Khanaka(XVIIc), and the Khauz-water-pond(XVIIc).  

Day 5. Bukhara

Spend another day in this marvelous city of the Silk Road. Explore outskirts of Bukhara, spiritual site of Bakhautdin Nakshband, once a home for dervishes. Continue to Summer Palace of the last rulers of Bukhara - Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa, a gem of Russian – local architecture, return back to the city and enjoy some free time at bazaars of the Bukhara and feel the spirit of The Silk Road. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6. Bukhara – Shakhrisabz – Samarkand (430km)

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Shakhrisabz (110km), the birthplace of Tamerlane, through pasturelands of Hissar Range of Pamir Mountains. Arrive to Shakhrisabz and start city tour by visiting the magnificent architectural monuments of Timurids period: the ruins of Ak-Saray palace of Tamerlane (XVc), Dorus-Saodat complex (XIVc), Dorut-Tilovat (XIVc), Chorsu trade dome (XVIc). Depart Shakhrisabz to Samarkand (320km) through the parts of Hungry Steppe. Arrive to Bukhara check-in to hotel. 

Day 7. Samarkand

After breakfast city tour in Samarkand, the former capital of the Great Empire of Tamerlane: Gur-Emir mausoleum (XVc), Registan Square consisting of Ulugbek’s Madrasah (XVc), Shir-Dor Madrasah (XVIIc) and Tilla – Kori Madrasah (XVIIc), visit the Museum of Ulugbek’s observatory with the original part of main instrument sextant (XVc), Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis (XI-XIVcc), and last Bibi-Khanum Mosque(XVc) and Siab bazaar,. 

Day 8. Samarkand - Tashkent

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive towards the capital Tashkent through countryside, crossing The Sir-Darya River on the way, passing the parts of Pamir Mountains. Arrive to Tashkent and check in to hotel. After a short refreshment city tour in Tashkent. Visit the old city with Khazrat Imam Complex, Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, and Monument of Courage.  

Day 9. Tashkent

After breakfast check out from the hotel for the international flight to the next destination.
